Fantastic location. Within walking distance to all central sites. SAFE routes back at end of night.Metro right outside. As seems usual, there is some disappointment. The photo of the hotel was taken from the middle of a very busy and noisy and very main road. Luckily I could sleep on a motorway embankment!!!
Top Tip
instead of walking west towards Rambla , try crossing the main road (Laietana)and exploring the aleys and squares. Fabulouso.

In busy area so will get some noise sometimes, but also catches the parades and the vibrancy of the Gothic area of the city, great location.
You have to go to the Hotel opposite for breakfast which is very good hotel and no problem, breakfast selection is excellent.
Top Tip
Take your time round the Gothic area and you will find lots of great bars and restaurants almost hidden behind large doors, some that are closed in the day but open at night.
Excellent break, people, places, clean, will come back again.

We had a room that looked out onto the square with 3 small balconies so no complaints from us. You walk out of the hotel and there is a tube station within 10 metres so its perfect for getting around, we used the tube to get to the Nou camp , its a 25 min tube journey with 1 change, not bad for 90 cents. you are also only a 10 min walk from la rambles although after a few beers in the Queen Vic it can take a bit longer.

Fantastic old town location and right beside a Metro station. The central location made it a bit noisy, but not a problem. Our room only had skylights (no windows) which would have been nice to know at booking, but then the price was good.

Excellent location right in the Gothic Quater next to the cathedral. tube station right outside. On main road right down to marina or cut thru beautiful streets to La Ramblas. I was on a stag do so not too fused about the hotel to be honest but was that impressed at how nice it was for a 3 star and its location I would have no qualms about going again and staying with my wife - no probs at all!
Top Tip
You've got to check out Les Corecoles (might have spelt it wrong but should translate to snails in Spanish) - excellent restaurant. 1st visited it 11 yrs ago on my stag do - this visit it was even better! You go thru the front door into what just looks like a small bar - but then you have to walk thru the kitchen to get to your table into what opens up into a tardis - awesome!
